UAAGI Ushers in Affordable Electrified Mobility & Utility with the Radar EV Pickup

United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), the Philippines’ most prolific importer and distributor of Chinese automotive brands, such as Foton, Chery, Jetour, BAIC, and Lynk & Co., ushered in a new wave of affordable electrified mobility and utility with the launch of the Radar EV Pickup. The launch event was held on October 3, 2025 at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan inside the trendy Robinson Bridgetown at border of Quezon City and Pasig with newly-minted Radar dealer principals, bank partners, members of the media, UAAGI officers, and invited guests in full attendance.

Radar is a sub-brand of the automotive conglomerate Geely, which also owns the Swedish car brand Volvo. The Radar EV Pickup is built on the Geely’s dedicated Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) that incorporate car-like features, handling, ride and comfort. Radar Philippines Brand Head Franz Decloedt announced that two models and several variants will be available – the full-electric (BEV) Radar RD6 ECON, which come in two-wheel drive (4×2) with 63kWh or 73kWH power and 73kWh four-wheel drive (4×4), and the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Radar RD6 EM-P 4×4, which come in Comfort, Elite and Luxury trims.

With prices starting at P1,358,000, the Radar RD6 ECON is positioned as the most accessible performance-oriented electric utility vehicle. The 4×2 variants are powered by a single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that churns out 242 hp (245PS/180kW) and 309 Nm of torque with full-charge driving ranges of up to 369 kilometers for the 63kWh variant and up to 443 kilometers for the 73kWh version. The top-of-the-line 4×4 model features front and rear electric motors that deliver a combined 376 hp (381PS/280kW) and 485 Nm of torque with a range of up to 390 km. Radar claims a top speed of 160 km/h for all RD6 ECON variants.

SEA-MAP Architecture utilizes unibody monoque construction that fuses the cargo bed seamlessly with the 4-door crew cab body.

On the other hand, prices for the Radar RD6 EM-P 4×4 starts at P1,658,000. This PHEV uses Geely’s Thor EM-P drivetrain with 1.5-liter turbocharged inline 3-cylinder engine, which churns out 154 hp (156PS/115kW) and 252 Nm of torque, and mated to a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission that delivers a combined 457 hp (463PS/340kW) and 659 Nm of torque. Radar claims a driving range for the RD6 EM-P 4×4 of around 82 km in pure EV mode, and more than 1,000 km in hybrid mode. Top-of-the-line Luxury trim features L2 ADAS (Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems) while all variants feature a payload capacity of 800 kilograms, 1,200-liter cargo bed, and power outlets at the cargo bed for camping, overlanding and other outdoor activities.

Under the hood of the Radar RD6 EM-P 4×4 PHEV is the Thor 1.5-liter inline-3 with dedicated 3-speed automatic transmission and hybrid system.

Both the RD6 ECON and RD6 EM-P models come standard with V2L (vehicle-to-load) functionality, 5-year/150,000-kilometer Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty, and 8-year/200,000-kilometer warranty on its Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery packs.
