This January performance marks a significant increase of 181 units compared to December 2025, and represents a remarkable 34% growth year-on-year. Such figures highlight MG’s sustained upward trajectory and its growing appeal among Filipino car buyers, reflecting increasing trust and demand for the brand’s innovative offerings.
The robust sales were driven primarily by the continued popularity of MG’s best-selling models, notably the MG5 and MG ZS. These vehicles continue to resonate with customers due to their modern design, cutting-edge technology, and exceptional value. Additionally, new models such as the MG TRQ L—marking MG’s first-ever diesel pickup in the Philippines—and the all-new MG HS Hybrid+ played pivotal roles in this stellar start. Both models, launched in the last quarter of 2025, have further expanded MG’s lineup and appeal, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to providing diverse, high-quality options for Filipino drivers.
Thanks to this strong performance, MG Motor Philippines has climbed to the 8th spot in overall industry sales, advancing one position higher according to the latest CAMPI figures. This milestone is a clear indicator of the increasing market acceptance and recognition of MG as a trusted and preferred automotive brand in the Philippines.
