Motegi, Japan – Young racing talent Danzel Waytan is set to make his mark in the Minutes Endurance Challenge (MEC) season opener at Motegi Circuit on March 8-9, following an impressive pre-season testing at Suzuka Circuit. Competing in the PRO-AM Class alongside experienced racer Shunji Okumoto, Waytan demonstrated both speed and consistency, clocking in at 2:14.1 on Saturday and 2:14.6 on Sunday.

Waytan, the newest and youngest prospect in his team, has embraced the spotlight as a developing talent. “I’m the team’s new ‘project,’ so a lot of focus is on me and my growth as a driver. It’s a challenge, but also a big confidence boost knowing they believe in my potential. Being paired again with Shunji Okumoto is a huge advantage—we have strong chemistry and a shared goal of performing at the highest level this season,” he shared.
