This month, the country’s No. 1 mobility brand invites the public to visit its spaces at the 1st Philippine International Truck Show (PITS) and the 14th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS). Both events will be held from October 22 to 24, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Toyota will showcase mobility options for a range of customer lifestyles at both events. At PITS, visitors can see the unveiling of Toyota’s newest Tamaraw conversion, the Tamaraw MPUV. At PEVS, visitors can get an up-close look at Toyota and Lexus electric vehicles. Test drives will be available at both events, giving customers the chance to try a wide range of Toyota vehicles and find the right fit for them.
As the leader in electrified technology in the Philippines, Toyota will showcase electric mobility backed by proven quality, durability, and reliability (QDR). Its broad lineup includes hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Visitors can also learn about Toyota’s pioneering efforts to introduce EVs to Filipinos.
Several Toyota electrified vehicles will be on display, including the bZ4X battery EV, Hilux battery EV, Zenix hybrid EV, and Corolla Cross hybrid EV. The Lexus ES HEV and Lexus RZ BEV will also be featured. Customers interested in a test drive can choose from more than 10 electrified vehicles across Toyota’s lineup.
“We have been pioneering electric vehicle technology in the country since we locally introduced the Toyota Prius back in 2009. Many Prius units are still being used today, a testament to the longevity of Toyota’s EVs and their quality, reliability, and durability. When customers choose to start their EV journey with Toyota, we can guarantee peace of mind and seamless after-sales service,” said TMP Marketing Division Senior Vice President Sherwin Chua-Lim.
A New Chapter for the Tamaraw at the 1st Philippine International Truck Show
Positioned as a “National Car,” the Next Generation Tamaraw MPUV, Toyota’s newest Tamaraw conversion, will be unveiled to the public at PITS. The Tamaraw MPUV aims to bring Toyota’s quality, reliability, and durability to the public transportation sector.
First previewed at Toyota’s Santa Rosa manufacturing plant, the Tamaraw MPUV is the result of Toyota’s efforts to create a public transport vehicle that responds to the needs of transport operators, local government units, and government offices. The conversion reflects Toyota’s commitment to providing the transport sector with a vehicle built by Filipinos, for Filipinos.
“The Tamaraw truly is a blank canvas, taking different forms to help people realize their dreams. We are happy—and proud—to build it… Through the Tamaraw MPUV, let us bring our strengths together to make everyday life better—for commuters, transport operators, and communities. That is how we want to contribute to the Philippines: by delivering something people can use, depend on, and truly value in their daily lives,” said Toyota Motor Philippines President Masando Hashimoto.
Alongside the Tamaraw MPUV unveiling, Toyota will display several other Tamaraw conversions, including the Freezer Van, GL Dropside, Utility Van, Food Truck, and Fire Truck. The Tamaraw Utility Van and GL Dropside will also be available for public test drives.
A Vehicle Lineup for Different Lifestyles
