Tested and Proven XForce Performance

Even though the XForce lineup now consists of three variants – GT, GLS and the new GLX – each targeting a distinct customer profile, a single powertrain, one that is tested and proven to be reliable, efficient and economical, powers the entire XForce lineup. Mitsubishi’s 4A91 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine with double overhead camshafts (DOHC), four valves per cylinder (16-valve) and Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) delivers 105 PS (103 horsepower) at 6,000 rpm and 141 Newton-meters of torque at 4,000 rpm.

The XForce’s proven 1.5-liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve MIVEC gas engine makes 103 hp @ 6000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm.

In all three XForce variants, power is transmitted to the front wheels (FWD) through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that features 4 Drive Modes – Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud – and includes Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control System (TCS) and Active Yaw Control (AYC) that manages wheel torque for improved stability. All variants share the same 5-door compact SUV body that measures 4,390 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,660 mm tall, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase, 193 mm ground clearance and 5.2 m turning radius.

AYC manages wheel torque for improved stability during high-speed maneuvers.
