Ford Philippines concluded the worldwide Global Caring Month in September 2025, with Ford employees and dealer employees volunteering their time and effort to make the annual event another success. “This year’s Global Caring Month events demonstrated our ongoing commitment to make meaningful impact to our communities and partner beneficiaries,” shares Josie Gonzalez, Director, Government and Corporate Affairs, Ford Philippines. “The spirit of social responsibility and volunteerism is very much alive in Ford, and we thank our Ford employees and dealer employees for their active participation in all our activities.” Ford PH worked with long-time partner Gawad Kalinga and AMCHAM Foundation Philippines in conducting its activities this year.
Bayong ng Pag-Asa, a community outreach program where Ford volunteers packed and delivered fresh produce to three Gawad Kalinga communities in Cavite, kicked off the month-long celebration. Reliving the bayanihan spirit, Ford employees put together a total of 300 baskets filled with healthy vegetables and rice that benefitted the families. A similar activity was also held in Mindanao with the participation of dealer volunteers from Ford General Santos who distributed to 300 families in General Santos, Polomolok and Tacurong.
A week later, Ford employees visited the Laguna Resettlement Community School to offer happiness to over a hundred special students on School Kids’ Day through entertaining games and dance performances. The event was made even more special as the children received meal packs and loot bags while the school received a donation of a digital Braille system.
In the same day, a different group of Ford employee volunteers visited Mary Mother of Mercy Home for the Elderly and the Abandoned, spending quality time with the residents. The program included a manicure and pedicure activity for the elderly, allowing them to relax and enjoy a bit of pampering. The event was filled with laughter, music, and meaningful interactions that truly brightened everyone’s day.
The last outreach activity of the month was held at the Anawim Lay Missions Foundation in Rodriguez, Rizal, on September 24 where Ford volunteers spent a day interacting with senior citizens. A fun game of bingo, dancing, and gift-giving were among the events that created warm and heartfelt moments – an appropriate way to round up a month devoted to compassion and care. “These programs reinforce our commitment to community involvement and to making a positive impact to our commitments. Together, we are furthering our global mission to help create a better world, one meaningful connection and act of care at a time,” added Gonzalez.
