Volkswagen Santana Welcomed as Mobility Partner to MACC and Growing List of Companies

Last October, Volkswagen Philippines turned over Santana units to MAN Automotive Concessionaires Corporation (MACC), the exclusive Philippine importer, distributor and after sales provider of MAN trucks and buses since 1989.

Concentrating initially on supplying MAN buses to leading public transport companies, MACC had changed strategies and recently introduced MAN trucks to the local market, serving premium quality heavy duty trucks to haulers and construction companies. With a service team led by internationally trained MAN certified technicians, MACC  has managed to ensure worry-free experiences for its customers by using technology to accurately assess the vehicle’s condition.

MACC is not the only company to welcome the Santana into its fleet, however. Back in July, Volkswagen Philippines also turned over Santana units to the pioneering home construction and renovation store CW Home Depot for the use of its top sales performers. Then, also in October, another batch was acquired by the country’s largest car rental company Diamond Rent-A-Car.

Seeing its status as an inheritor of Volkswagen’s World-class German automotive craftsmanship, design, and engineering, it’s no wonder why these companies have chosen the Santana as the ideal vehicle for its fleet accounts.  It being the  most affordable European car brand available in the market, the Volkswagen Santana is powered by an efficient 1.4-liter Multi-Point Injection (MPI) 4-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, with maximum power output of 90 Ps at 5,500rpm and maximum torque of 132 Nm at 3,800rpm.

With the Volkswagen Santana effectively becoming an important fleet solution for internationally renowned commercial vehicle companies like MACC, customers’ own experiences can thrive even better as, after all, with Volkswagen, Your Drive Just Got Better.
