Season 9 began with a new car, new teams, new sporting regulations and new partners. Twenty-two drivers from 11 teams will challenge reigning champion Stoffel Vandoome for the title on the streets of some of the world’s most iconic cities.
Starting in Mexico city in January 2023, the team travels to a host of new cities around the globe, including Hyderabad, Cape Town, São Paulo and Portland adding the longstanding favorites of Diriyah, Monaco, Berlin, Rome, London plus a return to Jakarta.
In a refreshed driver and team line-up. New names such as Maserati MSG Racing and Neon McLaren Formula E Team will go head-to-head with some of the incumbent powerhouses of Jaguar TCS Racing and TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, with rookie driver Jake Hughes and Sacha Fenestraz returning after his maiden race in Seoul.
Together, the new faces and names across the paddock will continue to push the boundaries of high-performance sport, innovation and sustainability while presenting thrilling live sports and entertainment experience for the fans at the track and watching globally on TV with the most competitive grid in motorsports.
