The Future of Mobility in the Philippines is Powered by Bosch

During an exclusive media gathering on October 23, 2025 at Conrad Hotel coinciding with the opening of the Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) 2025, Bosch reinforced its commitment to help power the future of mobility in the country through its advanced electrification technologies, connected mobility solutions, and a best-in-class blueprint for building a resilient, future-ready supply chain for electric vehicles (EVs). “As a leader in electrification and connected mobility, Bosch is at the forefront of the global shift toward electric mobility”, explained Joseph Hong, Managing Director for Bosch Thailand and Laos. “Electrification is likewise reshaping mobility in ASEAN and the market for electric vehicles is growing rapidly, presenting pockets of opportunities for different markets to support EV adoption in the region,” added the Bangkok- and Laos-based Filipino Managing Director.

The Philippines’ Electric Mobility Future

The Philippine automotive industry is evolving as it continues to fully embrace digital transformation and sustainable transport. The next few years, according to Bosch, will bring exciting advancements in connected mobility as part of the country’s transition to a cleaner, smarter transportation system. “The Philippines has a strong foundation to become a competitive player in EV manufacturing in ASEAN,” says Paulo Duarte, Managing Director at Bosch Philippines, adding that the EV parts ecosystem in the Philippines is growing, particularly for batteries, sensors, electronics, and refined minerals.

Learning from Hemaraj best practices in the areas of advanced localization of components, workforce upskilling, and integration of smart manufacturing practices, Duarte emphasize how Bosch can support Philippine EV manufacturers build a resilient supply chain that drives innovation, job creation, and sustainable industrial growth. Duarte highlights, “When implemented successfully, these factors can elevate the Philippines as a market that goes beyond EV assembly and into an active player in the future of electromobility in ASEAN.”

Bosch develops the technology to make EVs more efficient, which further extends the driving range, improves the EV’s reliability and performance, and minimizes the driver’s range anxiety.

Integrated, Sustainable Mobility Ecosystem

The PEVS 2025 is an important platform that brings together government, industry, and technology partners with a common goal of creating a truly integrated and sustainable mobility ecosystem in the country, built on shared goals, open communication, and inclusive innovation. In the Philippines, Bosch is actively engaged in building technical capabilities, fostering supplier partnerships, and promoting smart mobility solutions tailored to urban challenges.

During the media gathering, Bosch demonstrated a nifty fleet management solution that even records activities in and around the vehicle using this kid’s ride-on electric car.

To help shape the future of connected mobility, Bosch is providing smart, scalable technologies that support electric vehicles, intelligent transport systems, and seamless mobility platforms. Through software-driven solutions like predictive diagnostics and over-the-air updates, Bosch enables safer, more efficient, and user-friendly mobility experiences tailored to the Philippine market. Moreover, with the company’s scalable EV technologies—from high-efficiency inverters to complete eAxle systems, Bosch’s fleet management systems to vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication are designed to ensure the safety of EVs, with demand continuing to be felt across ASEAN.
