Lamborghini Amplifies Driving Pleasure with New Huracán EVO

Automobili Lamborghini presents the next-generation supercar, the new Lamborghini Huracán EVO. It is presented in Arancio Xanto, an iconic new Lamborghini four-layer color, while its 20-inch Aesir wheels are shod with Pirelli P Zero tires. Its distinctive body is more aerodynamically efficient with a new front bumper and splitter with integrated wing. The enlarged air intakes feature the Ypsilon shape that is a Lamborghini design staple while the side profile features hexagon design references in the windows, wheels, and around the new side air intakes. An integrated slotted rear spoiler enhances air flow while the reshaped underbody generates five times the downforce than the first-generation Huracán.

A 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine from the Huracán Performante with Titanium intake valves and lightweight exhaust system produces 640 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 600 Newton-meters of torque at 6,500 rpm. With a dry weight of 1,422 kilograms, the Huracán EVO accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in 9.0 seconds with a top speed of more than 325 km/h. It features a new rear-wheel steering and a torque vectoring system working on the four wheels; Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) controls every aspect of the car’s dynamic behavior; Lamborghini Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI) monitors real-time dynamic vehicle attitude and works with the magneto rheological suspension; while the Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) is now coupled with rear-wheel steering to provide improved responsiveness, agility and stability. LDVI governs all these systems to create a super-agile and responsive car with unparalleled levels of control.

The interior features a dedicated Huracán EVO trim in Alcantara and leather mix, with Arancio Dryope details matching the body tone. The car recognizes the driver’s intentions through steering wheel, brake and accelerator pedal inputs, engaged gear and the driving modes selected via the ANIMA controller: STRADA (street) where the Huracán EVO is agile and capable for driving enjoyment; SPORT where it becomes playful, intuitive and extremely exciting; and CORSA (race) where the car is sharp, reactive and exhilarating for the most extreme driving environments, such as racetracks.

Both the exterior and interior of the Huracán EVO are designed to maximize the specification possibilities, with several new options such as a wide range of Style Packs in shiny black and body color as well as Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, which offers virtually limitless opportunity for owners to customize their Lamborghini. Delivery of the Huracán EVO is expected in Spring 2019.
