Honda Philippines Inspires Kids and Teens to Be Road Safety Heroes!

Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) is on a big mission to make roads safer and help young learners become responsible, safety-smart drivers and pedestrians. Through the fun and educational Honda Safety Driving Center’s Kids and Students on Safety activities, Honda is showing that safety can be exciting and cool!

Recently, Honda team members, led by Mr. Raymund Cristobal, the Department Manager of the Honda Safety Driving Center, joined forces with school officials from Don Bosco Elementary and National High School in Parañaque. They gathered on the school’s basketball court for a heartfelt event filled with learning, fun, and teamwork.During the ceremony, Honda was honored with a special certificate of appreciation from Don Bosco Elementary—because of Honda’s ongoing support to teach students how to stay safe on the roads every day. It’s a partnership that proves safety is a shared adventure, and that teaching kids early about responsible road habits can make everyone safer!Kids on Safety: Learning While Having Fun!

The day kicked off with Honda’s Kids on Safety (KOS) program—an exciting adventure designed to turn young students into Road Safety Heroes! Through fun stories, videos, and hands-on activities, children learned important lessons like:

  • How to cross the street safely as pedestrians
  • Recognizing traffic signs and signals
  • Why wearing a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads is super important
  • How to be respectful and alert when walking or riding a bike

The highlight was the Push Bike Mini Skills Challenge, where kids, all geared up with helmets and pads, practiced their new skills in a safe, supervised setting—showing that safety can be fun and cool!

Turning Knowledge into Action

After the morning’s success, Honda didn’t stop! They brought their Students on Safety (SOS) program to senior high school students at Don Bosco National High School Parañaque. A total of 180 young learners attended an exciting seminar about how to stay safe when walking, biking, or riding in cars and motorcycles.

The students eagerly participated in discussions about:

  • How to behave responsibly on the road
  • The importance of traffic signs and signals
  • Safe ways to ride motorcycles and bicycles
  • Defensive driving tips for future drivers
  • Being alert and respectful as pedestrians and passengers

With big smiles and eager faces, these future drivers and commuters learned that being safe on the road is a team effort—something that everyone in the community can contribute to.

Honda’s active efforts show it truly cares about keeping Filipino families safe. By teaching kids and teens the right way to behave on the road today, Honda is helping shape a future where everyone is a safety hero—whether walking, biking, or driving.
