Ford Philippines added a new model to its expanding truck portfolio with the introduction of a 4×4 variant of the Ford Ranger FX4, boosting the off-roading capability of Ford pickup trucks available in the country. Launched in January this year, the new Ranger FX4 has a bold and standout design, refined interior, plus smart and safe features that further widens the appeal of the Ranger among customers seeking for a tough and capable pickup truck.
The new 4×4 variant comes with a distinctive black mesh grille, unique FX4 18-inch black alloy wheels (shown shod with meaty Bridgestone Dueller H/T tires), extended black tubular sports bar, and black accents on the side mirror caps, door handles, fenders, front and rear bumpers, plus FX4 decals on the doors and a 3D badge on its tailgate.
Under the hood is the robust and fuel-efficient 2.2-liter Duratorq diesel engine, which delivers 158 horses (160PS) and 385 Newton-meters of torque, that is mated to either a 6-speed manual stick shift or 6-speed automatic transmission. Like the 4×2 variant, the Ranger FX4 4×4 is also equipped with the same driver-assisted technologies that includes Cruise Control, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Rear Parking Sensors, Rain Sensing Wipers, Power Folding Mirrors, and Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS),to offer increased and improved safety and convenience.
On the inside, the Ford Ranger FX4 4×4 carries the same refined look with FX4-embossed leather seats and floor mats, race red stitching accents on the soft top instrument panel, center console, and door trims. Its infotainment system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility including an 8-inch full color touchscreen for better connectivity and improved entertainment in every drive.

The new Ranger FX4 4×4 is now available in Ford dealerships nationwide with a retail price of P1,356,000 for the 6-speed stick shift-equipped M/T variant and P1,416,000 for the 6-speed automatic transmission A/T variant. Ford Philippines offer a cash discount of P50,000 for purchases made during the launch period of the FX4 4×4, which comes in five colors, including Meteor Grey, Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Arctic White, and True Red.
