The largest and most active car club among local Ford enthusiasts, Ford Everest Club Philippines, will celebrate their 6th Anniversary with a flurry of activities on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Aside from raffling off a brand-new sport utility vehicle, their main activity will be their official attempt to break a 10-year-old World Record.
The club invites everyone to be part of history as they attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records “Largest Ensemble of Car Horns”, which was held by MINI of Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, where 400 MINI cars tooted the Deep Purple song “Smoke on the Water” simultaneously on August 3, 2013. An estimated 1,250 Ford Everest SUVs will gather at New Clark City Aquatics Center to conduct the official record-breaking attempt under the watchful eyes of adjudicators sent by Guinness.
Once the Guinness adjudicator has confirmed that the record has indeed been broken, the club members and guests will then drive their Ford Everest SUVs in a 10-kilometer-long convoy, which is a club tradition every time they have an “eyeball”, and proceed to the Subic Bay International Airport where the awarding, raffles and other activities for their 6th Anniversary celebration will be held. The penultimate raffle prize will be a brand-new 2023 Ford Everest! Ford Everest Club Philippines Founder Jay Cruz said that their anniversary celebration is dedicated to all the club members who have been instrumental in the club’s continued successes.
The event is sponsored by Motul lubricants in partnership with BYBIT, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Ford Group Philippines, and the Laus Auto Group and in cooperation with North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), PAPH Travel & Tours, MN Geotechnical Trading, Inc., Standard Insurance, RMBP, MySip Energy Drink, New Clark City, Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and RCBC Bank.
