Chery Auto PH Sets Highest-ever Sales in June

Aggressive Asian brand CHERY Auto Philippines is riding the strong momentum it started in the second quarter as it sets yet another record in its month-to-month sales figures last June.

 CHERY Auto Philippines distributor United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) has reported a sizable 140-percent increase in its total vehicle sales in June compared to the previous month of May. It was the highest monthly sales performance for the brand in the Philippine market since it began operations in late 2019.

The record sales figures are amplified by better brand awareness, thanks to marketing initiatives such as the two-leg media drives up and down Mount Samat in April and May, as well as the launch of the official mother club in June to build a community of all Tiggo owners in the Philippines. The passionate market reception given to the brand’s newly unveiled flagship, the Tiggo 8 PRO, has also contributed to the staggering sales growth.

 It’s not common that a flagship model becomes the bestseller for an automotive brand, but such was the compelling attraction of the tech-heavy and feature-laden Tiggo 8 PRO, which is available with a class-leading 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline direct-injection (Turbo GDI) engine or as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV)—they offer all the space, comfort, technology, luxury, and safety equipment of the prestigious German SUVs, but at a much more attainable price point,” declared Duenas.

Such was the demand for CHERY Tiggo 8 PRO that surpassed the initial target by a whopping 233 percent. Other sales achievers from the brand were the Tiggo 2 PRO, whose sales figures exceeded targets by a strong 140 percent, and the Tiggo 7 PRO, which surpassed targets by 109 percent.

“The strong demand for CHERY vehicles is spurring us to work even harder in getting the brand’s value for money message across and getting more people behind the wheel of a CHERY vehicle; we are only just seeing a fraction of the full potential of the brand,” added Duenas.    

 A highlight of the Tiggo 8 PRO is its comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) with 12 safety functions: Rear Cross-Traffic Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Door Opening Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Integrated Cruise Assist, Intelligent High-Beam Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Speed Limit Sign Recognition.

The CHERY Tiggo 8 PRO was an applauded fixture when it went on display for seven days in SM Aura Premier for the kickoff of The World of Luxury Nationwide Roadshow last week, July 1-7. The next stops for the World of Luxury Nationwide Roadshow are SM Megamall (July 14-20), Eastwood City (July 29-August 3), Estancia (August 12-18), SM City North EDSA (August 25-31), SM Mall of Asia (September 1-7), followed by Lucky Chinatown and Glorietta. Future stops in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be confirmed soon.
