Audi Philippines launched the all-new Audi A6 on September 11, 2019 at the prestigious Manila Polo Club in Makati. The new A6 is an expressive ambassador of the new Audi design language as it features an elegant design with its taut roofline and short overhangs. It is the roomiest and widest in the business class.
In front, a wide, low-set Singleframe grille, powerfully drawn air inlets, matrix LED headlights and daytime running lights emphasize the Sedan’s sporty character. Continuing on its side, a contour stretches across the top section of the sheet metal body, which starts as an edge in the hood and ends at the rear as a separating edge. In the associated lower section, pronounced aerodynamic elements emphasize the side view of the vehicle. The C-pillar is much flatter and the entire window line much more dynamic than before.
At the rear, a chrome strip emphasizes the impression of width of the A6 and provides a link between the two rear lights. The wedge-shaped rear lights, which end externally in vertical segments, also contribute to the impression of width. They are part of the rear sculpture and with their aerodynamic finishing touches that attest to the Sedan’s high-tech character.
The interior creates a futuristic, minimalist feel; thanks to the sleek instrument panel with a technical black-panel design dominates that impressively combines form and function. The driver and front passenger experience a generous space in which the architecture fuses seamlessly with the user interface. An Audi as it is, the 12.3 inch Virtual with high-resolution display connects to the multi function buttons on the steering wheel.
The center console and the all-digital Multi Media Interface (MMI) touch response displays are angled slightly toward the driver. The MMI touch with haptic feedback response system, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, provides intuitive operation and even more personalization. When switched off, the 10.1-inch screen top display is incorporated almost invisibly into the dark decorative surface. Meanwhile, the bottom 8.6-inch display, located in the console in the center tunnel, is used for the climate control, the convenience and vehicle functions as well as the text input. MMI navigation plus is even more compelling with the ambient lighting and Bang & Olufsen 3DPremium Surround Sound System.
Under the hood, the all-new Audi A6 is powered by the award-winning 2.0L TFSI Turbo-Charged 4-Cylinder Petrol with Mild Hybrid Engine Technology mated to a 7-Speed Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission that provides outstanding power delivery of 245 hp and 370 Nm, high efficiency and refined operation. Matching this capable engine is an extremely comfortable ride brought by the upgraded wheel suspension made extensively from lightweight aluminium, paired with 18” cast aluminum wheels. The suspension combines smooth ride comfort and unshakable stability with enhanced sportiness.
The all-new Audi A6 has received numerous awards including Top Safety Pick+, the top honor from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), for its Matrix LED and HD Matrix LED headlights and it also won the 2019 Car And DriverEditors’ Choice Awards in the mid-size sedans. As a testament to its class-defining safety features, it also achieved the top rating in the Euro NCAP, scoring the highest rating of five stars on all relevant criteria: protection of adult passengers, child safety, pedestrian safety, and driver assistance systems.
