OMODA & JAECOO PHILIPPINES NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE LEADERS

Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines, Inc. (OJMPI) is reshaping its leadership team as it prepares for its next stage of growth in the country.

Effective October 13, Marc Zhang, formerly country director for Omoda & Jaecoo in the Philippines, has been appointed executive vice president of OJMPI. Rocky Xu, who previously led dealer network development, has been named country director for the Omoda and Jaecoo brands.

Zhang brings experience in automotive retail operations, including Mercedes-Benz dealership management, as well as new energy vehicle (NEV) business management in China. In his expanded role, he will oversee broader business operations and strategic direction as OJMPI develops its growing portfolio.

“Marc has played an important role in establishing and growing Omoda & Jaecoo in the Philippines and building the foundations for the brands’ continued expansion,” said OJMPI CEO Chun Hu. “We thank him for his leadership and look forward to his contributions in his expanded role.”

Xu steps into the country director role with hands-on experience building the brands’ dealer network and retail presence in the Philippines.

“We are equally pleased to have Rocky take the lead,” Hu said. “His familiarity with the Philippine market, our dealer partners and our business gives him a strong foundation from which to lead the brands forward.”

Growing the Omoda & Jaecoo footprint

Since entering the Philippines in 2025, OJMPI says it has expanded its vehicle lineup, dealer network and aftersales support. In the first half of 2026, Omoda & Jaecoo ranked third among battery-electric vehicle brands in the country, with 1,484 units sold, based on CAMPI-TMA data.

The lineup grew in July with the launch of the JAECOO J5 EV, priced at ?1.399 million. The all-electric SUV joined a range of hybrid and fully electric models aimed at different customer needs.

The company also continues to build its nationwide retail and service presence. In September, it signed its 50th Omoda & Jaecoo dealer partnership, alongside the first batch of dealer partners for iCAUR

After-sales support is another part of the expansion. Through OJ Care, customers receive a seven-year or 200,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, whichever comes first. In September, OJMPI also introduced 24/7 roadside assistance for eligible customers.

“Our priorities for Omoda & Jaecoo remain clear: to introduce products that are relevant to Filipino customers, strengthen our dealer and aftersales network, and deliver an ownership experience that earns the confidence of the market,” Xu said. “I look forward to working with our team and partners as we take Omoda & Jaecoo into its next phase of growth.”

iCAUR joins the lineup

OJMPI is also preparing to introduce iCAUR in the Philippines, adding another NEV brand to its local portfolio. The brand is set to arrive with two electrified SUVs: the retro-inspired V23 battery-electric SUV and the larger V27, which uses Golden REEV range-extender technology.

The V23 and V27 made their Philippine driving debut during a media test drive in Cavite on September 28 and 29. OJMPI has also begun building iCAUR’s local retail and after-sales network ahead of the brand’s official introduction.

With Omoda & Jaecoo continuing to expand and iCAUR preparing to enter the market, the appointments give OJMPI a leadership structure focused on managing its growing multi-brand operation.
