MG Motor Philippines launched their latest electrified sport utility vehicle (SUV) – the all-new MG HS Hybrid+ – at the BGC Amphitheater on November 21, 2025. Powered by an advanced 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid dedicated inline 4-cylinder engine paired with a high-output electric motor that promises to deliver a combination of power, efficiency and reliability, the all-new HS Hybrid+ represents Morris Garage’s next bold step toward electrified mobility.
The all-new MG HS Hybrid+ is an electrified, elegant and exciting 5-door compact sport utility vehicle (SUV).
The turbocharged gas engine, which is supplied by a 55-liter fuel tank, and the electric motor, which draws power from a 1.83 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack, produce a combined 221 hp (165 kW, 224 PS) and 340 Nm of torque delivered to the front wheels by MG’s intelligent 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (EDU Gen 3). The HS Hybrid+ shifts seamlessly between all-electric, hybrid, and gasoline power while 8 intelligent propulsion modes continuously optimize performance and fuel efficiency up to 21.55 km/L as tested by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).
Under the hood is an advanced 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid dedicated inline 4-cylinder engine paired with a high-output electric motor that pumps out 221 hp and 340 Nm of torque.
5-Star Safety Rating + MG Pilot
The all-new HS Hybrid+, with its driver and front passenger, side, and curtain airbags, achieved a perfect 5-star safety rating in both the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) as well as its Australasian counterpart (ANCAP). Safety is further enhanced by MG Pilot, the brand’s intelligent suite of advanced driver assistance technologies, which includes adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert and braking, a clear 360-degree camera, among other features.
The MG HS Hybrid+ achieved a perfect 5-Star Safety Rating in the Euro NCAP and ANCAP.
Autobrake hold, anti-lock braking, electronic brakeforce distribution, cornering brake control, traction control, vehicle dynamics control, and active rollover protection provide additional safety. The Digital Matrix LED lighting of the all-new HS Hybrid+ provide enhanced illumination on the road while the 75-kilogram capacity roof rail provide additional cargo capacity. The 19-inch black-painted alloy wheels with 225/55R19 Bridgestone Alenza tires provide outstanding traction as well as a sporty and striking presence.

Optimized Design & Performance
The interior of the all-new HS Hybrid+ offers high levels of comfort and refinement with a dual 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless charging, dual zone climate control with air purifier, leather seating with six-way electric adjustment and memory for the driver, panoramic sunroof, hands-free power tailgate, and reverse auto-tilting mirrors further enrich the driving experience. With its optimized design and performance, the HS Hybrid+ was nominated for 2025 European Car of the Year.
