Motorsports enthusiasts, get ready for another adrenaline-fueled season of the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) Philippine Cup, highlighted by the debut of an exciting new racing machine! The first race weekend kicks off from March 13 to 15, 2026, on the vibrant streets of Riverpark, Cavite, where the groundbreaking Tamaraw OMR, a one-make race car, will make its official circuit debut. Last year, over 12,000 spectators flocked to Bacoor, Cavite, to witness exhilarating races, driving exhibitions, live musical performances by OMP rockstars, vehicle displays, and more. Now, as it enters its 12th season, the TGR Philippine Cup is elevating the excitement with the addition of the Next Generation Tamaraw OMR, joining the popular Vios OMR lineup. These same-spec vehicles will battle wheel-to-wheel in high-octane Sprint Races, showcasing raw driver skill, grit, and determination.
The Tamaraw OMR, initially previewed as the Tamaraw Racing Concept last year, has undergone extensive development through continuous testing on the track. In February 2026, TMP officially released the Tamaraw Race Car Package to passionate racers and teams eager to take on this locally crafted marvel.
This new racing platform will take center stage in the newly formed Tamaraw Racing Class, where racers compete for glory and bragging rights. Leading Team TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippines are TMP President Masando Hashimoto and rising stars, including Chenee Jimenez, Alex Lim (aka Banaweboy), Justin Buzzhype, Enzo Ison, and Will Lucas. They will face off against seasoned champions like Iñigo Anton, Dominic Ochoa, Alain Alzona, and Jesse Garcia from top racing teams across the country.
In addition to the Tamaraw Racing Class, the event will feature returning categories — the Sporting, Super Sporting, and Legacy Classes — with the Vios OMR taking part in the intense Sprint Races. This year’s grid promises fierce competition, with 30 racers pushing their limits on the challenging 2.4km street circuit in Riverpark, a thriving Federal Land Community in General Trias, Cavite — just 35 minutes from Metro Manila.
Spectators can look forward to a feast of racing action alongside displays of TMP’s Toyota GR performance vehicles, Lexus favorites, and the highly anticipated launch of upcoming models like the RAV4 and Urban Cruiser. For those eager to experience the thrill firsthand, the e-Motorsports display offers a chance to test your skills on state-of-the-art sim racing rigs. Plus, exclusive GR merchandise will be available for purchase!
Toyota car club members can also enjoy an exclusive track day, experiencing the streets of Riverpark with their own high-performance vehicles.
