Setting a New Cool Benchmark: Isuzu J-Spec Refrigerated Van Launched at Isuzu Bacoor with First Five Delivered to Safexpress Logistics

On May 21, 2025, Isuzu Bacoor unveiled the new Isuzu J-Spec Refrigerated Van in an exclusive mini launch event at its dealership in Cavite, setting a new benchmark in cold chain logistics for the Philippine market.

The Isuzu J-Spec Refrigerated Van brings together the best of Japanese innovation and quality. Built on the durable and fuel-efficient Isuzu truck platform—recognized as the Number 1 Truck Brand in the Philippines—this vehicle features components that reflect Japan-quality engineering, designed for optimal performance in local and regional cold delivery operations.

At the heart of the van’s cooling system is the Denso refrigeration unit, powered by the Number 1 Compressor in Japan. Known globally for its reliability, energy efficiency, and precision, the Denso system ensures rapid cooling and consistent temperature control, making it the preferred choice for transporting perishable goods. Whether it’s fresh seafood, frozen meats, or temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, the Isuzu J-Spec ref van guarantees product integrity from source to shelf.

Complementing the Isuzu and Denso components is the Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech van body, manufactured by Centro Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech Inc. (CFCI). This Japan-made insulated body is designed for maximum thermal retention and durability. Its advanced materials and construction meet the high standards of Japanese manufacturing, ensuring long-term value and peace of mind for fleet operators.

Centro Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech Inc. (CFCI) President Raphael “Raffy” Juan talks about the best features of the Isuzu J-Spec rerigerated van.

“The launch of this new refrigerated van reinforces Isuzu’s commitment to delivering world-class, Japan-spec transportation solutions to our customers,” said Leah Alfonso, Sales Manager of Isuzu Bacoor. “The J-Spec refrigerated van is built for businesses that demand not just performance, but lasting quality. It’s more than just a vehicle—it’s an investment in reliability.”

Raphael “Raffy” Juan, President of Centro Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech Inc., emphasized the van’s strategic role in enhancing the country’s cold chain capacity. “This is a vehicle that preserves the taste, freshness, and quality that Japanese standards are known for,” Juan said. “We are proud to be part of this initiative to deliver Japan-quality cold chain solutions, now made accessible in the Philippines.”

Guests at the launch witnessed a live demonstration of the cooling system’s rapid response and the build quality of the Cooltech body. Fleet customers, food distribution companies, and logistics providers expressed strong interest, impressed by the seamless integration of Japanese components that meet both local operational demands and international standards.

With the rise in demand for safe, efficient cold transport across food, healthcare, and retail sectors, the Isuzu J-Spec Refrigerated Van stands out as the smart and superior choice—powered by Japanese technology, made for the Philippine roads.
