Kia Philippines Extends Decade-Long Partnership with Kia Corporation in Landmark Agreement

 

Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has officially renewed its partnership with Kia Corporation, marking a historic milestone for the brand in the country. The signing ceremony took place in Seoul, South Korea, on March 18, with leadership from both organizations, along with dealer principals and banking partners, reaffirming their commitment through an extended distributor agreement. This renewal secures a full decade of collaboration,  a first in Kia’s history in the Philippines, solidifying the mutual trust and remarkable momentum the brand has achieved locally.

Kia’s success in 2025 has been extraordinary. While the overall Philippine automotive industry grew modestly by 3.7%, Kia surged ahead with a remarkable 16.7% year-on-year growth, establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the country. This growth transcended mere sales figures, reflecting a significant shift in brand perception—where reputation, customer interest, and purchase intent all increased simultaneously.

The brand’s deepening connection with Filipino consumers was driven by models like the Sonet, Carnival Turbo Hybrid, and Sorento Turbo Hybrid. These vehicles have helped Kia expand its footprint across the nation, reinforcing its position as a trusted and innovative mobility provider.

Driving Towards a Sustainable Future

Since ACMobility’s acquisition of the Kia distributorship in 2018, Kia Philippines has steadily advanced toward its goal of becoming a leading automotive brand. This year, the company is committed to supporting Kia’s global electrification strategy by expanding its hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) segment. The upcoming Kia EV5 will further strengthen the brand’s electrified lineup, which already includes efficient fuel-powered models, advanced turbo hybrids, and fully electric vehicles.
