On October 21, 2025, Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. (JAPI) officially launched the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM 5-door midsize SUV at The Cove in Okada Manila. The grand launch utilized the entire 9,000 square meters of The Cove including its various cabanas and gathered nearly 400 guests, including dealer principals, Jetour Auto International (JAI) executives, United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI) officers, JAPI directors, brand ambassadors, media representatives, bank partners, and the very first Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM customers.

Before the grand launch, a press conference was held at the Glass Ballroom that was attended by executives led by Ke Chuandeng, President of Jetour Auto International, Rommel Sytin, JAPI Chairman, and Miguelito Jose, JAPI Managing Director. The Jetour executives emphasized their commitment to deliver intelligent mobility solutions to meet the evolving needs of Filipino motorists, as well as their vision for the Philippines to align cutting-edge technology with accessible luxury and sustainable innovation. Afterwards, exclusive test drives were held at the Okada Manila Boardwalk for the guests to experience the new T1 Lightning i-DM firsthand.

The Grand Launch
The grand launch transformed The Cove into an immersive showcase of art, emotion, and technology. JAPI Executive Director Timothy Sytin started the ball rolling with his welcome remarks, followed by inspiring messages from Jetour International President Ke Chuandeng and JAPI Chairman Rommel Sytin. The launch promoted local culture with a Kulintang performance, modern Filipino dances, and a dramatic unveiling of the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM, signifying the brand’s outlook that the hybrid SUV is a perfect match for the proud, innovative and forward-looking Filipino spirit.

In his welcome remarks, JAPI Executive Director Timothy Sytin expressed their appreciation for the overwhelming support given to Jetour since its introduction.

JAPI Managing Director Miguelito Jose gave a detailed presentation of the new Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM’s advanced engineering. Its Intelligent Dual Motor (i-DM) hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that generates 140 hp and 215 Nm of torque with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Electric Motor that adds 150kW of power and 310 Nm of torque, all managed by a DHT Hybrid-Dedicated Gearbox. An Ultra-Safe Cage Body Structure with Integrated Laser Tailoring ensures maximum occupant protection in case of collisions.

Advanced Engineering and Safety
The interior of the T1 Lightning i-DM features a 10.25-inch Digital Instrument Panel, 15.6-inch Center Control LCD Screen, 9-Layer Sun Protection Glass, and 5-Layer Soundproof Glass. Adaptive Ventilation and a 24-hour parked air conditioning function redefine in-car comfort. Using a fast DC charger, the 26.7 kWh battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The new Jetour boasts of a comprehensive list of active and passive safety features, including a full array of airbags, ISOFIX anchors, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), a 540° Panoramic Image system.

A live demonstration of the Jetour ACTIVLife Smartwatch, an exclusive companion device designed to integrate seamlessly with the T1 Lightning i-DM, was made to show the smartwatch’s intelligent control capabilities, including remote engine start, keyless entry, window and trunk operation, as well as its comprehensive fitness, lifestyle, and health monitoring features. As a special introductory offer, the first 100 customers who purchase the T1 Lightning i-DM will receive a complimentary ACTIVLife Smartwatch, underscoring the brand’s commitment to integrating smart mobility with modern living.

First T1 Lightning i-DM Owners and Jetour Brand Ambassadors
The very first JETOUR T1 owners also joined the celebration on stage as valued members of the growing JETOUR community in the Philippines. Jetour Auto Philippines’ official brand ambassadors Team Kramer, along with Camille and VJ Yambao, likewise showed their full support. “The JETOUR T1 Lightning i-DM represents more than just advanced technology – it represents our respect for local heritage and our dedication to shaping a sustainable future,” said JAPI Chairman Rommel Sytin. “Bringing this vehicle to the Philippines is both a celebration and a promise, celebrating how far we’ve come, and a promise of where Jetour is headed,” added JAPI Managing Director Miguelito Jose.
