The latest upgraded versions of two of Hongqi’s top-of-the-line models – the Hongqi E-HS9 flagship electric SUV and the Hongqi E-QM5 Plus premium electric sedan – were introduced by Hongqi Philippines on August 14, 2025 at the exclusive In.Hub Atrium of the TDG Compound in Taguig City. The E-HS9 and E-QM5, which are renowned for their sophisticated design and high performance capabilities, are two of the most popular Hongqi EV models in the Philippine market. The revamped versions further add to the models’ desirability through their improved driving range and performance upgrades.

… while Hongqi Philippines Sales & Marketing Head Brian Tumalad Badilla made sure that he acknowledged all the media guests and friends who took time to attend the event.

Product Planning Manager Kristoff Arcega highlighted the enhanced features of the upgraded E-HS9 and E-QM5 and introduced the HS3 PHEV.
Hongqi E-HS9
The Hongqi E-HS9 is a full-size electric luxury SUV that is available in Executive, Deluxe and Flagship variants. With a luxurious cabin layout, advanced safety driving aids, innovative comfort and convenience features, the E-HS9 is often seen as the electrified Chinese version of the Cullinan, Rolls-Royce’s luxury SUV. The enhanced E-HS9 now has a driving range of 515 kilometers on a single charge – an additional 75-kilometer improvement from the E-HS9’s 440 kilometer-single charge driving range.
The E-HS9 Flagship is Hongqi Philippines’ top-of-the-line full-size luxury electric SUV.
Additionally, the wheels of the enhanced E-HS9 were upgraded from 21-inch rims to larger and sportier 22-inch rims for a more commanding appearance while its BOSE premium audio system was upgraded from 12 to 16 speakers to deliver an even more immersive and refined listening experience. Prices start at P4,780,000 for the E-HS9 Executive up to P6,480,000 for the range-topping E-HS9 Flagship.
The E-HS9 Flagship is a large luxury vehicle akin to the Range Rover and Roll-Royce Cullinan.
Priced at P6,480,000, the E-HS9 Flagship comes with an ultra luxurious and highly innovatiove deluxe cabin.
Hongqi E-QM5 Plus
As a mid-size premium electric sedan, the E-QM5 Plus features an exciting exterior design, an inviting and comfortable interior, smart connectivity, active safety and battery safety technologies. Its meaty 235/50/18 tires provide the traction needed to bring 140kW of electric power from the permanent magnet synchronous electric motor to the ground.
The Hongqi E-QM5 is a full-electric midsize luxury sedan that is priced at P1,880,000.
Its lithium ion phosphate battery pack has been upgraded to boost the driving range from 430 kilometers to 560 kilometers on a single charge, thus allowing drivers to go on longer road trips with renewed confidence. The E-QM5 Plus is further upgraded with vented seats and cruise control to further enhance the comfort of Its occupants. At P1,880,000, the E-QM5 Plus represents a formidable contender in the premium electric sedan segment.

Hongqi HS3 PHEV
During the event, Hongqi Philippines officials also gave a sneak peek of the new Hongqi HS3 PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle). The stylish and exciting PHEV pairs a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a 168kW electric motor for 565 Nm of torque that allow it to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds, an electric driving range of around 115 kilometers and a combined range of over 1,400 kilometers.
The Hongqi HS3 PHEV promises a smooth and quiet driving feel that’s more EV than PHEV.
It can be charged in just 19 minutes using a DC fast charger, comes with a 3.3 kW external power supply function, and features a high-tech cockpit, advanced safety systems, and spacious cabin. The HS3 PHEV distinguishes itself from conventional plug-in hybrids by delivering a fully electric driving feel – combining instant power, exceptional acoustic refinement, and sophisticated ride.
The HS3 PHEV can run around 115 kilometers on battery power and about 1,400 kilometers on gas/electric power.
