Honda Philippines Reinforces Commitment to Road Safety at the One Honda Road Safety Event

(HPI), and the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) reaffirm their unwavering dedication to promoting road safety through the recent One Honda Road Safety event held last June 16, 2025, at the Honda Safety Driving Center. The event brought together government officials, media representatives, and valued customers to highlight best driving practices and showcase Honda’s cutting-edge driver-assistive technologies.

A Day Dedicated to Road Safety Education and Practical Demonstrations

The event was thoughtfully divided into an engaging morning seminar and hands-on safety demonstrations in the afternoon.

Morning Seminar:

Participants engaged in an insightful session covering essential topics such as safe driving and riding behaviors, hazard prediction, preventive maintenance tips, handling common vehicle emergencies, and an overview of Honda’s advanced safety technologies.

Afternoon Demonstrations:

Attendees experienced the practical application of these safety lessons through immersive test drives and rides. The highlight was test drives featuring models equipped with Honda SENSING, Honda’s state-of-the-art driver-assist system. Participants also had the opportunity to experience the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) designed to warn, mitigate, or lessen the impact of frontal collisions.

A live demonstration involved an authorized driver guiding a Honda HR-V towards a dummy obstacle, illustrating how Honda SENSING alerts the driver and automatically applies brakes to prevent or reduce collision severity.

Honda SENSING Features Include:

• Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow (LSF): Available on Honda Civic, HR-V, CR-V, and Civic Type R, this feature maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead and adjusts speed accordingly.
• Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS): Helps keep the vehicle centered within lane markings.
• Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW): Alerts and assists drivers to prevent unintentional lane departure.
• Auto High Beam (AHB): Enhances visibility by automatically switching high beams on and off, reducing driver fatigue and improving safety, especially in the All-New CR-V RS e:HEV CVT variant, which includes the Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) for smarter lighting control.
• Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN): Alerts drivers when the vehicle ahead has moved, helping prevent rear-end collisions.

Honda’s Latest Motorcycle Technologies for Rider Safety:

HPI’s newest motorcycle lineup features safety-enhancing technologies such as Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Combined Braking System (CBS) for controlled, efficient braking. The RoadSync system offers seamless connectivity, allowing riders to access calls, messages, navigation, and music safely while on the move, available on the All-New PCX160.

Additional safety features include:

• Emergency Stop Signal (ESS): Flashes hazard lights during sudden braking to warn following drivers.
• Automatic Headlights On (AHO): Ensures visibility by automatically turning on headlights when the engine starts.
