Harley-Davidson Showcases Its 2025 Cruiser 117 Model Lineup in an Exclusive Event at the Ayala Museum

The minute I walked into the Ayala Museum in Makati City to attend the exclusive launch of the 2025 Harley-Davidson 117 cruiser model lineup on September 18, 2025, I knew I was in trouble. For one thing, I currently ride a Harley-Davidson cruiser – a 2022 Softail Breakout 114 – and I love it. With its Screaming Eagle custom air filter, Vance & Hines exhaust and mild tweaking, it’s an absolute blast to ride! It’s a cool badass cruiser and I don’t have any plan to part with it or exchange it for anything else.

Shawie and me on my 2022 Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout 114.

I love riding my Breakout 114 fast with its fat 240mm rear tire and loud exhaust rumble from its Vance & Hines exhaust.

When I was introduced to Mark O’ Flaherty, the Managing Director for Asia Emerging Markets & India of Harley-Davidson, and he learned that I already have a 3-year-old Breakout 114, he immediately declared, “Well, it’s time we get you off your old 114 and into a new 117”. Oh, boy… I’m glad my wife Shawie was there to, uh, steer me out of temptation. Besides, I still another year to pay off that 114 so I cannot just get a new 117. Or could I? Hmm…

Ooh… That new Harley-Davidson Breakout 117 sure looks yummy with 10% more power and torque than the 114.

Beyond the Ordinary

The launch event of the 2025 Harley-Davison Cruiser 117 model lineup in the Philippines was dubbed “Beyond The Ordinary”. The refreshed Cruiser lineup pushes the boundaries of Harley-Davidson’s legacy in style, performance, and innovation, with every model now powered by the 117 Milwaukee-Eight V-Twin engine. That’s 117 cubic inches of engine displacement or 1,905 cc or 1.9-liter for us metric gearheads here. (In comparison, the Breakout 114 has a 1,857cc Milwaukee-Eight V-Twin – Ed.)

Harley-Davidson Asia Emerging Markets & India Managing Director Mark O’Flaherty introduced the 2025 Cruiser 117 lineup…

… and unveiled each model while expounding on its new features.

H-D Managing Director Mark O’ Flaherty unveiled four 2025 Harley-Davidson 117 cruisers – the Low Rider, Breakout, Heritage Classic, and the 35th Anniversary Fat Boy Gray Ghost, which is just one of only 1,990 units that makes it a rare highly-desirable limited-edition motorcycle. (We’ve featured the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Gray Ghost here at Power Wheels Magazine Industry News June 3, 2025 – Ed.) The new bold Cruiser 117 models underscore Harley-Davidson’s dedication to fueling passion across the Asia Emerging Markets, where they hope to continue inspiring riders and enthusiasts to ride motorcycles that go beyond the ordinary.

Mark unveiled a one-in-1990 limited-edition Fat Boy Gray Ghost that’s already been spoken for…

… and gamely explained the new styling features and standard safety equipment of the 2025 Cruiser 117 models.

2025 Cruiser 117 Models

Harley-Davidson redefines its iconic Cruiser collection for 2025 with a revitalized collection of six distinctive motorcycles, each infused with next generation technology, elevated performance and refreshed styling. Built on the proven Harley-Davidson Softail chassis with hidden mono-shock rear suspension and powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin, each motorbike reflects a unique personality. What got my attention was the new cruisers are now equipped with Selectable Ride Modes –  Road, Rain and Sport Mode and new standard safety features such as:

  1. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Cornering ABS
  2. Traction Control System (TCS) and Cornering TCS
  3. Drag-Torque Slip Control System (DSCS) & Cornering DSCS
  4. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

Oh, great… my Breakout 114 didn’t come with cornering ABS, cornering TCS, or DSCS… Aarrgghh!

The 2025 Harley-Davidson 117 Cruiser lineup includes the following models and their respective prices:

Street Bob – P1,230,000; Street Bob (Laced Wheel) – P1,290,000

Interested customers can contact their nearest Harley-Davidson dealer to arrange test rides, recommend customization options, and provide updates on the new parts & accessories and apparel & licensing products.

I’m trying to “quietly” arrange a test ride of the new Breakout 117 to try its selectable ride modes and standard safety features that my Breakout 114 does not have. I have to be “quiet” about the test ride arrangement otherwise my wife will not find out and ruin my plans…
