The 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), held from October 24 to 27 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, delivered an unforgettable experience for car enthusiasts and industry experts alike. Organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi), this year’s event spotlighted the theme “Dare, Drive, The Future Redefined,” offering attendees a close look at groundbreaking innovations shaping the future of the automotive world.
With a historic 17 automotive brands on display, PIMS 2024 set a new record for participation, showcasing the latest advancements in vehicle technology and sustainability. Key partnerships underscored this commitment to progress: Helixpay’s digital ticketing platform streamlines event entry, while BPI, as the official auto finance partner of PIMS, simplifies access to financial options for potential buyers during the motor show.
This year’s event also highlighted the significant purpose behind PIMS. Campi President Rommel Gutierrez emphasized PIMS’s role as a platform that drives awareness and consumer interest in new vehicle technologies, saying, “We are confident this year’s PIMS will set a new milestone in attendance, bringing the progress we’ve made as an industry to more people.” Gutierrez also celebrated the growth of the Philippine automotive industry, noting a 10.3% rise in vehicle sales as of August 2024 compared to the previous year.
Since its beginning in 2007, PIMS has been central to the development of the Philippine automotive industry, fostering partnerships with government and private sectors to drive economic growth and sustainability. This year’s event not only celebrated past achievements but reaffirmed Campi’s commitment to driving innovation and advancing the industry.
