Caltex Sta. Rosa–Tagaytay Road, one of the new Caltex retail sites opened in 2025, strengthens Chevron Philippines Inc.’s growing network and commitment to serving motorists in key growth areas.
Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of Caltex and lubricants, marked a remarkable year in 2025 with significant achievements in nationwide site expansion, strategic partnerships, and social initiatives.
The year also saw the appointment of Pongtorn “Bon” Tangmanuswong as CPI’s new General Manager and Country Chairman. Fresh from his leadership role at Chevron Cambodia, Tangmanuswong brings 17 years of experience across the Asia-Pacific markets. He shared, “In 2025, I gained deeper insights into the Philippines’ dynamic fuel landscape and identified ways to unlock its untapped potential. Our direction will continue to be guided by our 109-year legacy in the Philippines, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.”
Continued Nationwide Site Expansion
CPI accelerated its retail footprint by opening 18 new service stations across key locations in the Philippines. Notable sites include Laoag City in Ilocos Norte, Balaoan in La Union, Makati, Tagaytay, Puerto Princesa in Palawan, and Bacolod.
In addition, CPI launched 75 Caltex Havoline Autopro and Bikepro workshops in 2025, bringing the total to over 500 locations nationwide. These facilities provide Filipino motorists with access to 22 expert-maintained services, ensuring convenience and quality on the road.
Throughout 2025, Chevron strategically positioned these new sites near urban centers, major highways, and landmarks. This approach underscores Chevron’s commitment to delivering a premium customer experience through Caltex’s superior fuels and dependable maintenance services.
Strengthening Partnerships for Enhanced Fuel Services
CPI also fortified its network through new collaborations and ongoing stakeholder relationships. It renewed lease agreements with Batangas Land Company, Inc. (BLC) for properties in San Pascual (Batangas), Lapu-Lapu (Cebu), San Fernando (Poro), La Union, and Sasa (Davao City). These agreements enable CPI to sustain fuel services in vital communities.
In a move to diversify retail offerings, Caltex partnered with local coffee chain PICKUP COFFEE. The collaboration involves opening kiosks at retail sites, providing energizing espresso drinks and excellent service. As of January 2026, 20 new outlets have launched, bringing the total to 32.
PICKUP COFFEE CEO Francis Flores expressed enthusiasm: “Our partnership with Caltex exemplifies our dedication to serving customers where they need us most. We see this as the start of a long-term relationship built on trust and genuine service.”
Caltex also continued its partnership with 7-Eleven, opening five new stores within Caltex stations in 2025, increasing the total to 123 locations, making it even more convenient for motorists on the go.
Impactful Social Initiatives
Beyond fuel and maintenance, Chevron’s social programs remained a core part of its mission in 2025. Its ongoing outreach and sustainability efforts made a tangible difference in communities nationwide.
One notable initiative was its support for the AmCham Foundation Philippines’ ScholaCOLORun, an annual fun run that raises funds to support underprivileged youth’s education. In 2025, the event drew 3,458 runners, including 290 from CPI and Chevron Holdings Inc. (CHI). The campaign benefited 109 scholars, reaffirming Chevron’s commitment to empowering Filipino youth through education.
AmCham President Edwin Feist commended the partnership: “Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. We are grateful for Chevron and CHI’s steadfast support, which has helped many young Filipinos realize their full potential.”
In September, CPI mobilized 250 volunteers—employees, contractors, and community partners—for its annual Coastal Cleanup in San Pascual, Batangas. They collected 232 sacks of trash along the shoreline near Chevron’s Batangas Terminal, helping restore a vital nesting site for Olive Ridley Sea turtles.
For Chevron’s Volunteer Day, employees from CPI and the Caltex Makati Credit Cooperative (CMCC) visited Guanella Center, Inc., engaging beneficiaries with special needs through games and shared meals. This initiative fostered social skills and inclusivity, strengthening community bonds.
Looking Ahead
In 2025, Chevron focused on delivering reliable fuels to Filipino motorists and empowering underserved sectors through meaningful outreach and sustainability programs. As 2026 begins, Chevron remains committed to pioneering innovations and sustaining impactful social initiatives, shaping a resilient and sustainable future for the Philippines.
