BYD Cars Philippines Achieves Record-Breaking Performance in 2025, Reinforces Market Leadership

 

BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, capped 2025 with its most impressive performance to date, solidifying its position as the Philippines’ fastest-growing automotive brand. The company recorded an outstanding retail sales figure of 26,122 units, reflecting a remarkable 446% year-on-year growth. This explosive increase underscores BYD’s rapid ascendancy and cements its leadership in the burgeoning New Energy Vehicle (NEV) market in the country.

This remarkable momentum was driven by soaring consumer demand across BYD’s diverse and innovative lineup. The brand’s flagship model, the BYD Seagull, emerged as the top-selling vehicle with 4,608 units sold, particularly excelling in the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) segment. Meanwhile, the Sealion 6 DM-i led the brand’s hybrid lineup, exemplifying Filipino drivers’ growing preference for sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions.

Building on this momentum, BYD and ACMobility have officially renewed their distribution partnership for passenger cars in the Philippines, reaffirming a long-term commitment to the local market. Initiated in August 2023, this strategic alliance ensures a steady pipeline of cutting-edge technologies, supported by a comprehensive ecosystem of charging infrastructure and dedicated after-sales service. These foundational efforts paved the way for BYD’s rapid expansion nationwide. By the end of 2025, the brand successfully met its goal of establishing 79 operational dealerships across the country—a significant increase from just 25 locations at the close of 2024.
